SCAREJ LTD (“Scarej”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal data in connection with Scarej Console, the Scarej website and related support services.

Information we may handle

Scarej Console stores refresh tokens in the operating system’s native credential store and non-sensitive preferences in the standard application configuration directory. The desktop application does not collect camera recordings as part of its normal operation.

How we use personal data

We use personal data to provide, secure and operate Scarej Console and related services; authenticate users; respond to support requests; diagnose faults and improve reliability; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where UK GDPR applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where specifically requested.

Sharing and service providers

We may share personal data with service providers that help us host, secure, operate and support the service, including infrastructure, email and technical-support providers. They may process data only on our instructions and subject to confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary. Support correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed. Account, security and transaction records may be retained longer where necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. We then delete or anonymise the data securely.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system or transmission is completely secure, so you should also protect your credentials, devices and networks and notify us promptly of suspected misuse.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction or objection to processing, and portability of data you provided. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact ming@scarej.ai; we may need to verify your identity.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or another competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
