Installation guidance
Windows
- Download the EXE installer.
- Run it and accept the licence.
- Choose the folder and complete installation.
- Launch Scarej Console.
macOS
- Download and open the DMG.
- Drag Scarej Console into Applications.
- Launch it from Applications.
Early unsigned development builds may require manual approval in macOS security settings.
Ubuntu
- Download the DEB package.
- Install with the package installer or
sudo apt install ./scarej-console_<version>_amd64.deb. - Launch it from the application menu.
Minimum system requirements
These are practical minimums for Scarej Console with one camera connection. More CPU, memory and network capacity may be needed for multiple cameras or high-resolution streams.

- Windows 10 or later, 64-bit
- 2-core x86-64 processor
- 4 GB RAM
- 500 MB free storage
- Internet and local-network access
- WebView2 Runtime; the installer can provide it
macOS
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel processor
- 4 GB RAM
- 500 MB free storage
- Internet and Local Network permission
Ubuntu Linux
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, x86-64
- 2-core x86-64 processor
- 4 GB RAM
- 500 MB free storage
- Internet and local-network access
- GTK 3, WebKitGTK 4.1 and GLib runtime libraries
